SBDM Special Meeting
August 7, 2012

Minutes

Meeting opened with Bill Hammond, Anita Cantrell, Tonya Castle, Tom Castle and Chad Williams present.

Bill Hammond made a motion, Tonya Castle seconded, to approve the agenda.

Tom Castle will serve as Chair of the SBDM

Anita Cantrell made a motion, Tonya Castle seconded, that Bill Hammond serve as Co-Chair.

Anita Cantrell made a motion, Chad Williams seconded, that Bill Hammond serve as Secretary.

Council set the 1st Tuesday at 4:00 PM, in the LMS Library as the regular monthly meeting.

Council reviewed and acknowledged Open meetings and Open Records Act.

Chad Williams made a motion, Tonya Castle seconded, to approve the Minutes from May 8, May 31 and June 21 with one noted revision.

Anita Cantrell made a motion, Bill Hammond seconded, to approve the budgets with the following actions:  Move copiers from 0431 to 0739 - $5972.40 and 0610 to 0810 for dues for KASC and KAAC.

Council approved Carmella Rose as the ESS & GATE Coordinators.

Chad Williams made a motion, Tonya Castle seconded, to approve the ESS Plan.

Council created questions for Instructional Assistant interviews.

Bill Hammond made a motion, Chad Williams seconded to enter Executive Session for Personnel as per KRS 61.810 (1) (f).

Council returned to open session.

The following personnel decisions were recorded:
     Molly Meek – Yearbook advisor
     Neal Parsons – Girls’ Basketball Coach
     Tate Smith & Jeremy Wellman – Football Coaches
     Bill Hammond – Head Academic Team Coach
     Deana Hammond – Assistant Academic Team Coach

Policy review update from KASC: schedule of policies to be addressed each month. Council will need to create three committees to address policies.

New Business-
Cheer Dance – 8/18 – Cafeteria, 7 pm – 10 pm. Based on proof of adequate chaperones.
Academic Team begins 3:30 pm, organizational meeting Thursday.
Interviews – Thursday – 4:30.

Anita Cantrell made a motion to adjourn, Bill Hammond seconded.
